I have a 7-year old boy, and just like the rest of womankind, I want a baby girl of my own, but life is keeping from it, hahaha, mahirap ang buhay, parang kapag nag-anak ako ng di pa ko sure sa future ng panganay ko, I'm putting him in jeopardy and I don't want that, I'm too devoted a mother to do that. Baka mamatay ako sa ngitngit ng konsensya, ngayon pa lang kasi na may mga bagay ako naiisip na di ko nagagawa as a mom, naloloka na ko eh, what more kung total failure na ko to give him a good future.
Pero seryoso, after seeing this, I'm really, really tempted, gusto ko ng ganito *sigh*.

Pardon the blurry pics, I don't know where to get better-quality ones, if you're interested, just type ipanema giselle bundchen on your search box and I'm sure it'll pop out. It's too pretty not to be popular, I'm telling you *grins*
This is part of the butterfly collection in Giselle Bundchen's line of Ipanema flipflops that were release the summer of 2011 (not on my part of the world, it's raining cats and dogs here since last month), I took the liberty of posting the two photos below because they captured my heart, it was love at first sight, hahaha.
Now, I'm wishing I have a money tree or a not-so-hidden treasure buried in my background so I can buy it in an instant *grins*
New mantra - Money come to me *tongue out*.

My favorite of all the songs in The Greatest Love/Best Love OST, one of the best K-drama of the season, it's 16-episodes run ended a two weeks ago, it would have been nice if it was extended but I'm okay with the way it ended, the leads made it through and they proved that love, at least theirs, can really conquer all :)
EDIT:
I can't find the English translation of the song, I think, no kind soul has been on it yet, but I found the Hangul lyrics and its romanization, in case you wanna learn the song, you can find it here. The title's literal English translation is Because You Are My Person but for it to sound more eloquent, it is translated as Because You Are Mine.
Have a good day everyone and please enjoy the music.

*Sigh* been super busy with school stuff, not mine, but my son, had no time to write my June recommendations of Korean, Japanese or Taiwanese dramas. Kaya eto pahabol for the month of June, pasensya na talaga, I'll work harder this month :)
Oh yeah, can we do movies for this month's update, I'm kinda itching to share some of my well-loved ones? Okay then...
A Thai movie that was released on August 2010, it placed second on the blockbuster list of all Thai movies during that year. It stars Mario Maurer and Pimchanok Lerwisetpibol (Fern), it is a teeny bopper, feel-good movie, I'm sure anyone with a sense of humor, how little it might be, will love it, I even fell in love with it *grins*.
The plot - The ordinary 14 year old girl Nam is unattractive or in simple terms...ugly. But she's always been secretly in love with an older guy in grade 10 called Chon, the most popular student in high-school. He's hot, perfect and generous, and that's what makes girls go crazy about him, including Nam too. But she doesn't give up easily. She tries to do everything to make her get noticed by the boy she loves, in the hope of him turning around to look at her just one more time.
A Japanese movie, a drama of the same title and same story exist, you can opt to watch that, there are certain differences in the storyline but both are the same as a whole, different actors too; the movie have Miura Haruma and Aragaki Yui. The original story of Koizora, by the author Mika, was popularized on the cell phone novel site, Mahou no Land, and since then has been turned into a novel, a movie, and a drama. It made millions of people cry so a heads up, be prepare to cry buckets, I swear.
The plot - which follows the life of a normal high school girl who experiences many unbelievably sad events, but through it all proving that love conquers all, and this true love story remains unchanged from the movie. Not only does it simply portray the first love of the high schoolers, it shows the warmth from the family, the importance of life, the bonds with friends, and the common happenings of teens, and through it all Mika and Hiro's love story gets unwound.
Another Japanese movie, another tear-jerker, but it's worth the tears, I promise you. The movie was released on October 2009 and it stars Inoue Mao and Okada Masaki.
The plot - Takuma, a boy who is told he will die before he’s 20, and Mayu, a girl who is in love with him… The story begins when they are little kids. Mayu, whose father is a doctor, meets Takuma, who is hospitalized in her father’s workplace. They develop feelings for each other, but Mayu learns of Takuma’s grave illness and that he will die before he turns 20. The distraught children make one promise for an uncertain future. Time passes, and the girl becomes a young woman, and the boy, a young man. Mayu continues to support and love Takuma. On the other hand, Takuma, who knows his days are numbered, pushes away his feelings for Mayu and distances himself from her. He cannot stand to see her cry or hurt her more than he already has. Then Mayu meets another man who has feelings for her, and Takuma meets a woman who has the same illness, and their feelings for each other begin to waver. Misunderstandings, unsaid thoughts, the frustrations and chagrin of youth… What will become of their love while the clock keeps ticking away in Takuma’s life?
A Korean movie shown way back in 2004, but the story is so nice, it never gets old. The actress who played the lead in this movie is now a full-pledged star, Moon Geun Young and of course, the ever dashing Kim Rae Won acted as the male lead. If you've seen it already, go and watch it again, if you haven't then you should, it's a must see!
The plot - Young love is in the air in My Little Bride! Popular heartthrob Kim Rae Won (Rooftop Room Cat) is right at home in this hit romantic comedy about a curious arranged marriage. Kim is Sang Min, a handsome college student who aspires to be a legendary playboy. However, his swinging single ways are about to end thanks to the arrival of 16-year-old Bo Eun (Moon Geun Young, A Tale of Two Sisters). Bo Eun's grandfather was best friends with Sang Min's grandfather, whose dying wish was to see Sang Min and Bo Eun married! Neither of the youngsters have any interest in getting hitched; Sang Min won't be able to attract college girls with a ring on his finger, and Bo Eun is in love with a local high school hunk. But Bo Eun's grandfather is determined to get the two together, even if he has to resort to some wily deception! His tricky ways get the two to the altar, but how will they adjust to a married life neither wants? A romantic comedy full of sweet, fun-loving innocence, My Little Bride promises to charm and entertain anyone with a heart!
I wish to post more recommendations but I'm sort of running late, I need to prepare my son's things, have a warm bath and go to sleep, it's Monday tomorrow, a school day, so I bid you adieux, let's continue some other day :)

Our president, Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III, had celebrated his first year anniversary as the main figure in Philippine government last week with an address done in some sports complex somewhere in the city (sorry, I forgot the place) and because of that, another not-so-good innuendo is added to the long list of negative remarks on him and his administration *sigh*.
Okay, first of, I am not politically-inclined, aside from my rebellious stint during my college days, I had nothing on my wing that will fall under the term politics, unless, being an officer on class organizations and school clubs counts *grins*. Anyway, I only hear news when I want to and when I'm able but I can say that I knew at least what is necessary to make a post like this.
On Pnoy being the president and the number of demands people are asking from him and the number of preposterous claims and talks about his non-activity and his failure as a president. Here's my two cents - sad as it may sound, most of us Filipinos voted him because he is an Aquino, the only son of Ninoy and Cory, add to the fact that Madam Cory died a few months before the campaign and election, making it easier for him to capture the hearts of melodramatic PNoy. I voted for Noynoy. first because I think of all the candidates at that time, he is the most capable and trustworthy, second, I also vie on the fact that he is the son of two key political figures, I was hoping that he wouldn't tarnish the reputation and honor that his parents have and protected. And he didn't fail me, one year has gone by but I never heard of any graft and corruption that involves him, or any abuse of power. Oh yeah, don't give me the Porsche bull, it's his money, he is rich even before he became the president so I am sure he is more than capable of paying for that.
About people's remarks that he wasn't able to do anything, oh come on, what do you think of him, a superhero, you think he can clean up all the messes that was left on his shoulders by the past administrations, give the man a break, he's loosing precious hairs for God sake. I mean, him being in position, him doing his best, him picking up the crumbs and pieces of what was left of the political institution that the past administration trampled and ruined, him giving hope to the then hopeless Pinoys, isn't that an achievement enough. I know it's not much, I know we want more, but he is just human, just like we are, yes he is the president but he doesn't have any supernatural or magical powers that a snap of a finger or a wave of a wand will do wonders. Patience my friends, I think, no, I believe, he is doing his best.
Go PNoy!

Google updated page rankings among blogs, I think it happened last night but as I don't spend that much time winding around in the world wide web, I missed it, no worries though, it's not as if, I'll be spare from an increase and decrease in PR *grins*. I was so excited to have found out about the update as I have a new food blog - Pud Blag ni Ako - which I think I had mentioned a million times over already *lol*, and because I was hoping that it will finally have it's own PR. I checked it out, and lo and behold, my prayer is granted, it is now a proud member of blogs with PR 2, yey for me!
But, when I checked The Snoring Queen's PR, it, unfortunately, loss a point, it's all-time PR of 2 is now decreased to a 1. Not the best of times for this blog. I won't point fingers and blame people for it though, I know I am at fault, I am never present and I almost always write senseless articles and I really, really lack dedication... sometimes I don't even know what to do with myself *grins*.
It's not that I'm complaining, okay, okay, maybe I am, just a little bit *grins*. Oh well, as I've said, you win some, you loose some, I dig both, hahaha...
What about you peeps, good or bad news?

No, I am not that violent and I don't have a particular bitch in mind that I would like to beat at the moment, nyahahaha, though I knew a few in my circle, hahaha, ooops, I didn't let that slip that easily, did I? Hahaha, seriously, I want the book - Beat the Bitch by Tess Stimson, she's also the author of Adultery Club and Infidelity Chain, both were bestsellers.
Another no, I am not, in any way having an affair or an adulteress or being cheated on, though the third, I am not completely sure *grins*. I read a review of the book and I sort of like what's inside, don't let the title fool you, it's not a know-how-book on starting a war and doing your personal battle cry, it's a self-help book on what to do, what to expect, and your options as a woman.
And, we can never tell, inputs in her book might come in handy sooner or later :)
I want one, I'll buy one! Sana mura lang :P

After the much successful and uber-hyped Google doodle of a working guitar for Les Paul's 96th birthday and an interactive illustration of the total lunar eclipse, here comes a cutesy patootsy one of the Summer Solstice which officially starts last June 21.
I didn't blog about the previously-mentioned doodles though I know and enjoyed them both, as I was out of the loop and too tired to do anything and it seems like everyone's drawn to those two and they were all raving and everything, so I decided to be a rebel and not blog about it, hahaha. But, this one is just too cute to resist, you know I love all things pink and fluffy and that doodle above looks just like so.
By the way, you can learn more about summer solstice on the net, just google it *grins*.

I usually rave about K-dramas and other Asian series, none of which are in my native tongue, it's not because I am a snob, it just happens that nothing of that calibre came out yet. But the tides had changed, we now have Amaya.
I am not a fan of the lead stars, except for Datu Bugna played by Raymond Bagatsing, who died in the second week's run of the series (me sad face) but I am telling you this period drama will make you proud that you have the Filipino-Malay blood in you.
Yes, I am pimping Amaya, do watch it!
If you haven't catch on the hype yet, visit it's Wikipedia page to know some background details before you take the plunge. Full episodes are available in You Tube :)

Haven't been blogging that much recently, my camera broke and I just don't feel like a blogger without my blogging companion, I still have my lappy but I'm missing my left hand (figuratively speaking, of course) and it's not a good feeling *sigh*.
Anyhow, I have some stuff clogging my mind so I decided on writing a post to spew some thoughts out. A bit of warning though, this may end up as a nonsensical one *grins*.
- Have you heard, another foreign act will soon grace our country, it's none other than, Kylie Minogue, I'm not a fan but I would love to watch her perform up close and personal, only problem is, I don't have the extra moolah to splurge *pouts*.
- WTH China! You're not satisfied with the Spratly Island conflict between us so you decided on stepping on our country's toe, 3rd world as our toe maybe, again? Read this then, Recto Bank is effin far from your country and it obviously belong to Philippine territory. Is it all about power now? Territorial geography be damned? I'm half-Chinese and all but the RoC is effin unreasonable!
- I'm torn between two thoughts - Miley Cyrus ain't pretty or our country's video facilities doesn't have power and magic like that of her country and Hollywood *tongue out*.
- Anyone watching those afternoon series in GMA 7 - Sinner or Saint and Sisid? I'm just wondering when will I ever see a fisherman as hawt as JC Tiuseco and a man from the slum who is as yummy as Dennis Trillo *wink*.
- How about Munting Heredera, seen it, watch it? Wanna read my two cents, the scriptwriter kinda messed up the thinking prowess of all the characters. Promise, walang nag-iisip sa palabas na yun, puro sila tanga, kaasar tuloy panoorin kasi it's not remotely close to real life, sayang cute pa naman ang storyline pero the attack per se is ridiculous.
- Katrina Halili is like a matron of all sexy actress, nilosyang na sya ng panahon, she's not even pleasing to look at anymore, what happened?
- Last, I'm giving the privilege to AMAYA, hands down, one of the best production ever. I'm not a Marian Rivera fan, you can even say that I hate her pero I love Amaya, I swear. Pero di bagay na binukot si Rochelle Panganiban, dba dapat maputi mga binukot kasi di naarawan, hello, maputi pa ko kay Rochelle and I send and fetch my son to and from school in the middle of the blazing sun.

So, after Justin Beiber, it is Miley Cyrus' turn, she'll be heading here in the Philippines as part of her Corazon Gitano Tour, according to Marvin Agustin, the man behind the company who worked on bringing the teen sensation here, Philippines is the only Asian country included in her concert/tour destinations, but I am not sure if this is true, so don't shoot me if it isn't, okay!
The concert will be held on the 17th of June with Sam Concepcion and Elmo Magalona as front acts, I hope they can jam with Miley for a bit, it's going to be happening on MOA concert grounds.
Ticket prices are as follows:
VIP – P7,640 (Reserved Seating)
GOLD A – P4,670 (Reserved Seating)
GOLD B – P4,670 (Free Seating)

... when will it be Damon Salvatore's turn?
Don't hate on me, Gossip Girl enthusiasts, I'm just asking, and having my own bias is not a sin *smirk*.
Ed Westwick is in the country to do a photoshoot for Penshoppe, a local brand of clothing line, I think, he'll be the endorser for the company's 25th anniversary celebration, pre-Holiday 2011 up to Summer 2012. He, to those who are living in caves, stars as Chuck Bass, the rich, bad ass, playboy in the popular TV series Gossip Girl. The 23-year-old actor landed on Tuesday and is said to be staying until Friday (today), I knew that fans are dying to catch a glimpse but I read on twitter that his security is even tighter than that of Justin Bieber, cameras are even prohibited on his press launch yesterday, but, have no fear, various showbiz talk shows were given time to interview him, I suggest you be content on drooling and swooning while staring at your TV sets.
Me wants Pacey of Dawson's Creek (Joshua Jackson), hahaha, I'm such a fangirl.

I decided to have a monthly or bi-monthly recommendation post, of what you might ask, well, it's sort of a list of Korean series or movies that I had watched and think highly of or at least worthy of being mentioned and watch by others. You all know by now that I am completely taken by the K-drama and Hallyu phenomenon, right? But I didn't stop there, I am now into, Japanese, Taiwanese and Thai entertainment, it's a challenge watching and reading subs at the same time but I sincerely enjoy every minute of it *smiles*.
For this month (yeah, I'm a little late in realizing what should be done *grins*), I have a few, 3 ongoing Korean series, they all started this month, 1 Taiwanese series, and 1 Korean series that was aired last year, I think it is currently running in ABS-CBN dubbed in Tagalog.

I was browsing around this blog, looking at my past entries, I wouldn't say I was shock at how this blog transformed over the couple of years that it has been around but I wasn't able to control the giggles and smirks, the raised eyebrows and quirk of my lips, I am such a random person and I tend to leap from one topic to another. But in the years that I am blogging about my life, I never once mentioned what type of family I was born in, don't hold your breath as I am not going to begin now but I guess a little information won't hurt, and for my online friends to understand what this post is really about, I guess, a little background on my family is but necessary.
My grandfather is a businessman, a pure-blooded Chinese from Shanghai, China, he met my grandmother through his cousin who also married a Filipina. His cousin migrated here in the Philippines prior to him thus giving the first an opportunity to build a business, make connections and meet the sister of my grandma. My grandfather (Angkong) first started as a business partner of his cousin right until he decided on venturing to new things, granny didn't hesitate to give angkong a chance in love as his cousin (Papa Kia), who became her brother-in-law was a good man and I guess, magaling manuyo si angkong, hehe. Granny gave birth to my nanay and they were living happily until the booming mining business down south caught the interest of my grandpa, he asked my grandma to moved but she didn't oblige and I guess, other complications arose as their marriage crumble, they went their separate ways with my mom staying with granny. You think the story is over by then right, but no, granny found out that she was pregnant with their second child and, blame it to pride and heartache, she decided on keeping it a secret to her husband. Now, have you watch the movie Mano Po 2, I don't know how the scriptwriter wrote a story as similar as such to my family's, but it is exactly how it is in our real life. I'll leave the rest of the story in black, a little secrecy is but needed in life noh *grins*.
Two weeks ago, angkong passed away, we never did meet personally but I knew about him and he knew about me, my mom is just too strong-willed and tainted to accept him with open arms and build a relationship with him. However I looked at it, we're still related by blood, family and though we can never claim to love each other, I would have like to send him away.
I dreamt of him, his own way of saying goodbye I guess, this is my way - Goodbye Mister, Godspeed...

My omma and I had another misunderstanding a few days ago *sigh*, we've been sparring partners since the minute I learned how to think for myself, my estimate is at around 5 years old *grins*. Don't fear, we love each other dearly, we're just two strong-willed, stubborn and principled persons that tend to go head to head about things. It's just that sometimes, our little bouts tends to escalates to higher grounds, hahaha, like an extreme test of patience and respect. But I am proud to say that in the several decades that we're on each others throat, we haven't done anything that made us guilty to the nth degree, of course, having a battle of will with one's parents will always be considered as bad, I hurt her, she hurt me, emotionally and psychologically, but in our case, it just couldn't be prevented, we're just too alike to back away from each other.
A few days ago, we had a go again, the topic, responsibility and beyond *lol*, she just woke up and thought that a Saturday morning was a good time to get irritated and she did, she irritated herself and dragged me on the process, so there I was, ready to pull all my hair out on a supposed to be a bright weekend. So, to prevent any further damage, I went out and find a place where I can chill and cool my head, and the nearest place I could find without sweating myself to death was Mercury Drug Store. I went in without any thoughts of buying anything but staying there without grocery shopping will mean a suspicious me, right? So, I had no choice but to pick random stuff and waste my hard-earned money, I didn't mind it at that time but when I spent a good enough time away from my nanay and went home, I immediately regret spending 500 pesos on nothing. If I wasn't the one being bipolar, I would really laugh my ass off *grins*.
*Sigh*, the price of a cool me down these days :D

I wasn't able to visit my own blog for more than a week, I don't even know if people still visit this place, anyway, I started blogging to release emotions and thoughts, so I guess, continuing on that pattern isn't bad at all. But a small part is still reserve for my friends and audiences, the two or three persons that they are *smiles*.
I was busy school hunting, when I found the right school, I got busy going along with my kid as he took his admission exams, we got it in one hit, so less stress and spending on our part, after that, I got busy taking care of the documents he needed for transfer and last, his enrollment. So please don't hate me for being MIA because I was busy being a dedicated mother *grins*.
Now that school stuff is over and done, I need to grant his wishes of going places and doing things, but with scorching summer heat, can you blame me if I'm having second thoughts.
How about you peeps, how's life been treating you? Kwento naman kayo!

I was looking around the world wide web, doing some random reading, as my habit, when I chanced upon an article about Twitter Addiction, and what do you know, I was tweeting my life away when I found this, hahaha.
While it is true that twitter is a great social application, some tech geeks find a general weakness for it which often ends up to uncontrollable use of the media.
1. Compulsive checking of new tweets, even if you just did it a moment ago
2. Tweeting so often you can’t trace responses to you, which forces you to check your own tweets just to keep up
3. Know your TwitterCounter stats by heart and often checks them for updates
4. Have a profile on every single Twitter Influence, but only frequent the ones that tell you nice things
5. Tweets three times in a row about three different things
6. Gets annoyed when no one responses to a tweet of yours
7. Tweet about your hubby or partner, even if they don’t use Twitter
8. Use hashtags even in normal speech
9. The first thing in your hand as soon as you wake up to continue what you’re reading through whatever @s you picked in your sleep
10. You never let anything go on Twitter, ever.
After thorough thinking, I deduced that I am still sane in terms of my love for twitter, how about you?
Worry not though, the author gave a few tricks to start your rehabilitation right away *grins*.
1. Stop your virtual social life and start surrounding yourself with people who does not use twitter.
2. Take a book and move away from any gadgets.
3. Go out more often.
4. Set a tweet per day quota.
5. Take a weekend off from tweeting.
Tweet, tweet...

There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

Days after the royal wedding brouhaha, the deceased Pope John Paul II was beatified, he is now known as the Blessed John Paul. I was one of the millions who watched and followed his beatification, I never claimed to be religious, but I just can't let it pass without being a witness to it, right? It's like one of those special moments that only happens once or twice in a lifetime.
In my case, I think, I witnessed four or more beatification in my lifetime, I remember that of St. Lorenzo Ruiz when I was just a child, that of Blessed Pedro Calungsod on 2000, that of Mother Teresa a few years ago and now of Blessed John Paul II. There might have been more that I am unaware of.
Of the four that I have mentioned two are of my race and ethnicity - St. Lorenzo Ruiz and Blessed Pedro Calungsod, the first one is a Tagalog and the second is a Cebuano.
But as I looked around the net on the topic of beatification, I chanced upon an article about a petition to beatify Felipe Sonsong, another Pinoy, a native of Pampanga, this time. I had no idea, as in totally, but knowing it just makes me swell with pride, don't ask me why, I don't know either, hahaha.
Click for the full article if you're interested, have a good week!

Nah, I'm not pertaining to my own life, though I admit that my life is a drama by itself *lol*.
I was browsing through the net one early morning, I sort of opened the shop up at 7am at that time, yes, laziness took a leave of absence *lol*. And as I usually do, I read some news and current event articles, I happened on an article about a Navy SEAL lieutenant named Michael Murphy who died on combat at Afghanistan in 2005 and now will be honored with a warship under his name. His story is so heartwarming, I wasn't able to hold in the tears. Do read the full article and see it for yourself.
I read news and featured articles everyday, especially those that catch my attention, but I kinda hate dramas in the morning, I much rather have laughter, you see. As I start the day, I want its progress or deterioration be in series, I wanna be happy then be sad, or be happy and be happier later on, I don't like crying and end up crying some more or crying and then not, starting a day with tears just doesn't sound right. So, I am now resisting the urge to read articles that shows even a bit of tendency to touch my heart in the morning, I'll reserve it in the afternoon *grins*.
Lots of drama, lots and lots of drama...

Anyone here who doesn't know of the recently-held royal wedding kindly raise your hand? I see, no one eh! Anyone here who didn't watch and witness the event? Hmm, not a hand in the air *smirk*. Then, you would understand if I go straight to the point, right? I mean, what else is there to talk about and explain about the royal wedding, we all know about it na di ba *grins*?
I'm actually writing a piece about the royal wedding not because I love Prince William (but of course I do) but because of an article I read about the subtle tribute the newly-wed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made and did in honor of the late Princess Di. As my favorite lines in the article said - This was particularly true today, as William bit his lip nervously, standing at the altar with his bride, just as his mother did on her wedding day. It was a reminder to the millions of viewers who've watched the prince become a man, he's still his mother's son.
As a mommy myself, I can't help but tear up :)

Pacquiao did it again! Well, did anyone ever doubted that he will rule this match? I just finished watching it, what can I say, Mosley was a big disappointment, as an FB friend said, "he mosley avoided the yellow gloves" *grins*.
I thought round 3 will seal the game over but I guess Mosley will not loose face that easily, he was down for a while before he forced himself up. Round 10 kind of showed an awkward Mosley, I don't know if it's an accident or it was really his intention when he pushed Pacquiao down, which inflamed the Pacman to take the bout a notch higher. The referee even called it as a knockdown though the Pinoy pride contested it. In the end, all of those didn't matter as Manny Pacquiao not only retained his belt but also gave another reason for Pinoys to be proud.
Personally speaking, it was a boring fight, both fighters just danced the match away, Mosley being on the defensive and Pacquiao playing along, most boxing enthusiast will surely have a word or two about it. As for me, as long as we win, I'm fine with it!
Congrats Manny! I just wish you share a percentage of your prize and income to our countrymen. Hearing about your mom's 1-million dollar Hermes bag wish makes me wonder how many hungry can be fed, how many homeless can be sheltered, how many out-of-school-youth can be educated, how many sick can be healed. Just thinking...

I was surfing the net, doing random clicks on articles that I thought interesting, I was actually reading about sports, food and calories, Hollywood bits and new fashion lines but I guess, being random means reading shocking things from time to time.
Do you know of Gendercide? I knew of Genocide, Hitler and World War 2, and how traumatic, distressing and bad those times were. But, gendercide, and at this time and day, that's kinda lame and inhumane, don't you think?
*sigh* I am not one of those pro-life activist, who doesn't believe in the use of contraceptives because I do believe that everyone was given free will to decide for and by themselves. I don't condemn nor applaud abortion, to each its own, as long as parents-to-be have valid reasons in doing such acts then I guess it's okay, we always answer to our own conscience anyway. But killing an unborn child because she is a female kinda throw the equilibrium of freewill and choices, that is not right, period.
Read it and do tell me what you think...

It's been a few days after the holy week, are you all back in the grind or your heart is still in the resort, island, paradise that you visit? Did you do something worthwhile, holy, blessed, fun or you just let the the week passed by like it's just one of those usual week that comes? No, I don't mean to step on your business, I'm just making polite conversations and yeah, it's my way of saying how are you?
Me, I lazed around like I always do*grins*. We went to Paradise Ranch, in Angeles Pampanga, on Tuesday, we stayed there for two days and a night, it was a family retreat, our way of meditating, of being one with the Lord, of contemplating and asking forgiveness. I didn't even brought my camera with me as we discussed that having it around will only increase the temptation of cam whoring and nonstop photo op instead of what we ought to do. But I wish I did, the place is super nice and other patrons were taking and snapping pics like there's no tomorrow *sigh*. Oh yeah, envy, another sin to atone *lol*.
We got back home on Wednesday night and we stuck around the house until Easter Sunday, eating like we haven't eaten for the whole first quarter of 2011 *lol*. I got to finished a few books, 3 Korean drama series - Paradise Ranch, My Princess and Secret Garden, which are all love, I did major postings in the Mothership and I sleep like my life depended on it. It was a good week!
I didn't get to go on a vacation, bask in the sun, play in the sand and tan my skin in the beach which I wanna do, who's coming with me? It's your treat, right? :D

I'm seldom around the blogosphere to be able to join the meme in a regular basis but I hope I'm still welcome :)
1. When someone asks you for a book recommendation, what is your go-to book? i'm assuming that we're talking about literary pieces here, and just like the usual girl next door, i'll go for the works of Nicholas Sparks :)
2. Do you buy your books, or are you a library patron? i live in a country where going to the library is uncommon if you're not a student, so, i tend to buy my books, may it be brand-new or secondhand.
3. E-readers, yay or nay? yay!
4. What was your favorite book as a child? i'm not really sure, but i remember a green book full of fairytale stories and nursery rhymes, i'm guessing that must be it :P
5. If you could be any character in a book, who would you be? a beautiful commoner in medieval Scotland or England who lives a simple but happy life who will then fall in love with a handsome royalty, hahaha...
6. What book would you love to see turned into a movie? nothing in particular but something by Judith Mcnaught or Jude Devaraux will be good :)
7. What is your all-time favorite book? none, i love most of the books that i laid my eyes on :P
8. How many books do you read at once? i'm a one-book per a time kind of woman, hahaha...
9. What is your favorite book genre? fiction/romance, definitely!
10. Which Harry Potter book is the best? Or haven’t you read them at all? i've read it all, the first one will always be the closest to my heart, it is the beginning of all things magical :)

Hello peeps, hello blog, miss me? I miss you, but what can I do, life is sucking all my energy *sad face*. Anyway, let's just enjoy the times I spare blogging, I'm having another LSS (last song syndrome) *grins*, and I wanna share it with everyone, I think most of you are familiar with the song but to those who are not, here it is, one of the few songs honored by the Academy Awards. Now, sing with me *wink*!
Glen Hansard
I don't know you
But I want you
All the more for that
Words fall through me
And always fool me
And I can't react
And games that never amount
To more than they're meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You'll make it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I can't go back
Moods that take me and erase me
And I'm painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It's time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
We've still got time
Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice
You've made it now
Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing it loud

We were given free concert tickets of the up and coming pop groups here in the Philippines a week ago, the concert was held last weekend and believe it or not, the place was jam-packed. I was amazed of the pull those young guys and gals have on the teens and teens-at-heart. Good thing the people behind the show were well-prepared and strict crowd control was implemented. I'm not really a fan nor a follower, I'm actually one of those antis who think that they are a bunch of second-grade trying hard copycat but as the tickets were given for free, I can't pass the opportunity to go out and unwind. For a mom like me, a time like that is precious, whether I like what I'm seeing or not, just to breath outside of our house is a luxury enough.
Back to the concert, we didn't fell in line for a long time as the ticket we had were of VIP seats but I applaud the bouncers and staffs as the stanchions in the entrance area were all guarded and everyone were polite to the hotty-hungry teens. I can't help but giggle, err, smirk, everytime I hear the group of girls whispering loudly of who their biases are and how to die for they are. Girls will always be girls!
The VIP area had velvet rope upfront, I guess, it is a part of the crowd control in a grander way, I mean, it's velvet rope man, it's like the academy awards without the red carpet. I had a good time chatting with my cousins while waiting for the show to start, talking about being very important persons, at least, at that time, the world we live in and the hyper teens behind us. It's not always about the show, isn't it, sometimes it's all about the company.
It was rather peaceful and generally quiet up until the group of semi-good looking boys came out of the stage, oh men, how the crowd roars. The screaming fangirls went crazy, and I mean, crazy, I wonder if their mouth and throat ripped from shouting and screaming so much. I was even thinking that at that point, no amount of barricades can ever hinder them from mobbing the performers. I wonder if I was like that during my heydays, when Eraserheads and Rivermaya were the in thing...

My song of the month, actually, it has been more than a month, I just can't get over it, love, love, love this song!
by Aslyn
When you have to look away
When you don't have much to say
That's when I love you
I love you, just that way
To hear you stumble when you speak
Or see you walk with two left feet
That's when I love you
I love you, endlessly
And when your mad coz you lost a game
Forget I'm waiting in the rain
Baby I love you,
I love you anyway
Here's my promise made tonight
You can count on me for life
That's when I love you
When nothing you do can change my mind
The more I learn, The more I love
The more my heart can't get enough
That's when I love you,
when I love you no matter what
So when you turn to hide your eyes
Cause the movie it made you cry
That's when I love you
I love you a little more each time
And when you can't quite match your clothes
Or when you laugh at your own jokes
That's when I love you
I love you, more than you'll know
And when you forget that we had a date
Or that look that you get when you show up late
Baby I love you, I love you anyway
Here's my promise made tonight
You can count on me for life
That's when I love you
When nothing you do can change my mind
The more I learn, the more I love
The more my heart can't get enough
That's when I love you,
When I love you no matter what
That's when I love you
When nothing baby
Nothing you do could change my mind
The more I learn, The more I love
The more my heart can't get enough
That's when I love you,
When I love you no matter what
No matter what

A friend sent me this through an e-mail and I thought, it wouldn't hurt to share it with you guys. 1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. 2. Keep only cheerful friends. 3. Keep learning: “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” 4. Enjoy the simple things. 5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath. 6. The tears happen: 7. Surround yourself with what you love: 8. Cherish your health: 9. Don’t take guilt trips. 10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

Have I told you lately that I love you, oops, I typed wrong *smirks*. Have I told you peeps that I and a friend plan on opening an online store. She is a stay-at-home mom and Pinay immigrant in the US so she has access to those boutique sales and I am an online-addicted stay-at-home mom so I can stay and update online like 24/7 so we kind of fit, don't you think? We complete each other *lol*.
I already created an e-mail account, I also opened an account in Facebook though it is still inactive at the moment, and I am in the process of making a Multiply account, and that's what I've been busy about, aside from those Thai movies I've been obsessing about, as you might have notice in my last few posts. My business partner, on the other hand, is busy shopping her way around in L.A, looking for those pretty little stuff that we're gonna sell and hunting for the perfects sales. We're also in brainstorming on logo design ideas, the best one that will fit our shop name and will attract the attention of our possible clientele. Any suggestions?
Wish us luck, okay!

So, I was wondering around the world wide web a few weeks ago and I read a blog posts about freelance writing and as I was kind of on my toes and willing to work at that time, key word - at that time *lol*, I looked around the site and signed up, I did bid on at least two work opportunities but I haven't check back since then, yeah, yeah, that's attention and dedication for you *grins*. One of the many tasks I saw on that freelance job site is a temporary position on a search marketing agency, I was tempted to bid but as I am not really knowledgeable in the field and as I don't wanna give the wrong impression to employers, I decided not to. Now that I'm back, for a longer time I hope, I'm sort of itching to check if I got any offers or if my bid pushed through but at the back of my mind, I just knew that if ever I was given the task, it would be too late to check on it now, with a two week gap, those job offers must have been void by now. Me and procrastination, oh yeah, blame it on Thai movies!

My son still has to go to school today, we have to wake up and do the morning rush till this Friday, April 8 *sigh*, I can't wait for the school year to end.
Anyways, as I woke up early, I decided on making my early morning productive and go on an inbox sweeping spree *grins*. Ever since I started blogging and put ads on my blogs, my inbox had an influx in e-mails, I can get as much as a hundred a day which can then accumulate to more than a thousand in a span of two weeks. Easy for the senders, too bad for me, as I am the one sacrificing my time deleting all the e-mails, most of which I have no interest in. But I do wonder, does the bulk messaging system that most companies use have email marketing tracking that let's them know how successful their efforts are in reaching out to people online. I was just thinking, that all are wasted if the recipients are all like me, trashing the e-mails that I don't care about without giving it a look *grins*.
In fairness, it took me more than an hour to clean out my inbox, two weeks of non-checking and reading made my e-mail account a jungle of unread and unsolicited e-mails. Blame it on Thai movies!
Been away from my blog for almost two weeks, what I've been up to? Thai movies!!!
I so love the movie - Crazy Little Thing Called Love and I so love the theme song - Someday :)
by Boyd Kosiyapong feat. Marisa Sukosol
I do not know how much longer
That I have to survive with all the
I've been hiding all the truth in my heart
Every time we meet
Every time you turn my face to
Although I look indifferent
Do you know how much I have to force yourself?
Can you hear my heart calling for you, love you?
But I could not open my heart for anyone to know
Can you hear it?
My heart kept waiting there for you
Waiting for your open
and hope you will realize ..
Someday
Though I love you
Although I feel
but deep inside, I do not dare to tell you

Google often change their banner/logo design from time to time, they do this to celebrate momentous dates and times. Yesterday it was Houdini's 137th birthday, if he was alive *lol*, I am a fan of magic thus I am a fan of Harry Houdini. I watched the movie and read the book, both have his name as title, so I am kind of a little ecstatic to see the banner above. Yeah, yeah, I'm quirky and petty that way :P

I think, I have mentioned once that an elementary reunion is in the works for yours truly, I actually found myself in the midst of it all, I don't even know how I was dragged in *grins*. Anyway, aside from the usual reunion, get together and party, we also plan on donating a little something to our primary alma mater, we were contemplating on adding more books for the library, installing wall fans in most, if not all, of the classrooms, feeding program and scholarship for the kids, among others. It is a good agenda and we are, sort of hype up about the whole thing, though, we're not that good on the financial aspect yet, we know that if we bond together, we surely can gather more than enough to have our goal into fruition. If there's a will, there's a way.
The last time we had our meeting, we decided on building a computer lab for the kids, we'll start with at least 10 computers, with a printer, scanner, copying machine and internet connection, we'll provide everything, except for the room, but we are willing to do the necessary renovations. We did an ocular a few days ago, a spare room beside the office of the principal is relegated to be it - the most-wanted computer lab. It is a small room but we can see so much future in it, we're thinking of installing at least two 2HP air-conditioners and Wooden Blinds to block the sunlight during the afternoon. We have a list of to-dos, and we're so pump up to make it happen. Wish us luck!

Tulad ng dati, naiwan na naman tulala ang blog na ito... I've been busy watching the latest drama of Mike He (a Taiwanese actor), entitled Sunny Happiness, it was super nice, so if you're into Asian drama series, do watch it :
Anyway, I've been silent for like almost a week, but now that I'm back, I still don't know what to say, hahaha, oh well, that's me. I have learnt a few things about SM Malls though, ichi-chismis ko na lang yun sa inyo :P
- Did you know that in every SM branch, one or two branches of Chinabank and Banco de Oro can also be found, it's either Henry Sy is a stockholder or it's a tie in between companies, I'm not really sure but I heard the story behind it - it is said that ChinaBank and Banco de Oro were the first two banks who lent money to Henry Sy when he was just starting his business. Maybe it is his way of paying his indebtedness, maybe it is a business deal, nothing's concrete though, chismax lang yan, hahaha!
- In all of SM malls, you wouldn't be able to spot a branch of Mercury Drugs, maybe they don't have the money to pay the rent but they do have branches in other malls, so how could that be? The inside scoop, Henry Sy tried to borrow money from the owners of Mercury Drug but they declined his request, so, is it a form of vengeance then, hahaha, I don't know, as I have said, chismax lang yan :P
That's all I know at the moment, till next time, okay?

Life is dragging me down, I swear, there is a conspiracy in this universe that aim to make my life miserable, oh yeah, I'm thinking crazy but who can blame me? So, while I am spinning around in real life, I was late in finding out that an online buddy almost loss her home to a fire, according to her, it was less than 5 houses and theirs would have been part of the fire casualties, good thing, the firefighters in their area as well as the other volunteers from Manila stopped the fire before that tragedy happened. She was telling me how scared and frozen she felt, and how all her neighboring friends rushed out to help her and her two children, how her husband who is in the US at the moment was panicking when he found out, and how thankful she is that they are safe, you know what, I am super thankful too.
She lives in a well-to-do village here in the Philippines, I think, some of her relatives and her husband's family also live in the same block. A few of her friends/neighbors, unfortunately, lost their house and most of their belongings to the fire, the others needs major renovation while the lucky ones only need minor rebuilding and redesigning of their houses. Wood floor installers are surely in demand in their vicinity at the moment, and I wish everyone can rebuild more than their houses but more on moving on with their lives. I wish everyone the strength to carry on, shoulders to lean on and the faith to keep on believing and standing up.
God is always merciful.

I was minding my own business, surfing the net and playing Cityville and Gourmet Ranch in Facebook when I chanced upon some hot pics, I bet the atmosphere in that photoshoot was sizzling. Look at the photos below and tell me that I'm exaggerating, I dare you *grins*.
Those pics are said to be part of Mark Nicdao's magazine or coffee table book entitled Vantage, several celebrities posed for him but two of the most daring and buzzed about photos are of Cristine Reyes and Solenn Heussaf. They're both pretty and very daring, but I like Kristine's photo better, the one of Solenn made her look too muscular, but hey, who am I to say anything, I am nowhere near the beauty that is those two.
Men wipe off that drool *lol*...

I have been planning on doing this since I came back from hiatus but, you know me, I procrastinate for as long as I can, if I don't, it just doesn't feel right in my book *lol*. I used to have a blog roll with a few elite people on the list *grins* but since I was gone for a long time, most of them, seemed to have followed my lead and vanished, too, while others seemed to have change address and all that, so, I was left with no choice but to defunct the old list and begin with a new one.
That being said, would you like to be on my list? My blog is not that great, I don't attract lots of visitors and readers but I do have a PR2 *smirk* and I'm all for exchange links. I haven't done exchange links yet, in my two years of blogging but there's always a first time, right? Will you make my first time memorable and fun?
Leave me your blog's URL and title, make sure that you add me up in yours (I'll check *grins*) and you'll see your link floating in the sidebar the next time you visit. Have a happy weekend!
