It took me a second look before I realized it was Big Bird's legs, his legs stands up as the L in Google, with one click I found out why.
Big Bird and the rest of the Sesame Street gang will celebrate their 4oth season on November 10 thus making the big and friendly yellow bird 40 years old. The rest of the story can be found at the Examiner.
Who doesn't know Elmo and Grover (my son's favorite characters) or Big Bird, Ernie and Bert, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Count von Count, Rosita, and Zoe? Sesame Street have been a part of our toddler years ages ago and now it is a part of our sons and daughters' wherever in the world we live. I remember a decade ago, when I did my thesis in Mass Communications, I chose Educational Program for Children as a topic and know what, according to the survey that I conducted together with my friends and grandma, most Filipino moms and guardians believe that Sesame Street is the best educational program for children at that time. And that is one of the reasons why I invested in buying cds, vcds and dvds even before my son was born *grins*.
Happy Birthday Big Bird! Cheers to the whole Sesame Street gang! Long live Sesame Street!
