Yep, you read the title right, one of my long-time wishes came true this Yuletide season, it's a present not from anyone else but from me to myself, to lessen the hassle of using a desktop while being a busy mommy. And, as I was so excited to share it with everyone, I took liberty in taking pictures, step by step *lol*.
I bought it in SM Appliances with the help of the hubby (technically and financially), I won't mention the amount but I got this baby fairly, actually hubby said, it's more of a steal *grins*. I even have a 1000php GC to be used in the appliance center plus a free Globe Tattoo USB Broadband, I just haven't gotten the time to pick it up yet, I have to get it in one of Acer's service center, I need to show the official receipt, the product serial number in the box and an identification card. I'll ask hubby to get it after the Holidays *smiles*, so other photos are to follow... do stand-by.
It's an Acer Aspire 4736Z netbook, here's the specifications and a review, in case you wanna know more about it.
You gotta love it!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Bidazzled. All opinions are 100% mine.
Bidazzled is an online auction site that offers up to 90% savings on name brand merchandises, it was officially launched last November and it works like your usual penny or pay-per-bid auction but what separates it from the other auction sites is that, it is designed and created to help fund a lung cancer charity - The Ruch Foundation.
Some of the factors that draw me to this auction site are - bid winners usually save 80% off in retail and nobody really looses, in case you don't win a bonus 50 bids will come your way as a thank you token for participating and you can purchase the item in less than the investment you made in the auction. And if you're lucky enough to win the bidding, Bidazzled will offer to buy the item back for cash, via check or paypal, or bids or a mixture of both.
I even heard that on their first month of operation 2 Nintendo Wii(s) have been given away to lucky winners, who just used their 5 free bids, isn't that just wonderful?
Bids cost $1 and are available in bid packs for as low as $25, and with bid packs come free bonus bids which, if calculated, could lower your bidding cost to $0.67 or lower, a pretty good deal, if you'll ask me?
By the way, you can get 15 additional bids when you enter this code - BBP1202A - up until the 15th of January, 2010. So if you're in the lookout for post-Holiday coupons and promos, you just got lucky. All you have to do is enter it on the registration page of Bidazzled and you're good to go with no obligation or additional cost. When you have tried and tested their services, and you like it, you can refer friends and be rewarded with a lucrative referral incentives and bonuses.
Go ahead, grab the promo code and try it, but I don't think you can beat me to it *grins*.

I have said previously that I plan to loose weight this coming year, I want to look and feel sexy again *grins*, I want to fit in my old clothes and buy some new ones that are in style, I want to be able to carry myself better and yes, I want to have an increase in self-esteem, when I started to gain weight, I tended to stay at home and out of the public eye, I plan to change that that's why I am super inspired to loose weight, uhm, actually, I'm not sure yet but I am inspired to think about loosing some flabs, I'll give you that.
I am thinking of a regimen that will help me loose weight fast without me starving and straining myself, it got me thinking, I used to play badminton and I was good then so getting back to my old routine might give me back my old size, right? Plus, I get to do something fun and something I enjoy. Now, I have to spend some bucks to buy myself badminton stuff, as I already passed my old ones along to my cousins two years ago.
Good thing I found Badminton Racket, it is an independent site that is created to help people like me in finding the best racket that will suit my ability, they give out advice in choosing badminton rackets and they compare prices and give bargain hunters cheap deals on top brands. I am currently scourging their site for that perfect racket, something that I'll love to carry and play with and something that I can afford.
Game mode on...
I have been asking and nagging my husband to allot some money for a new set of wedding rings, don't get me wrong, I love my wedding ring but it has been on my finger for almost ten years, I just want something else to wear and something different to look at. Ours is a simple gold ring with multiple slant lines as a design, my husband picked it up, he didn't want those elaborate stone-encrusted rings, he wanted it to be as plain and rare as possible. I used to tease him that we should have 3 pairs of wedding rings, an everyday ring, a white gold ring so I can pair it with other kinds of jewelries like silver, and a formal ring, a bejeweled one will be nice so we can use it at events and gatherings. I know, I know, it's not practical and frugal but hey, a girl can wish and dream right?
Last night while I was staring at the ceiling, night dreaming and all, I thought of some hideous plan *grins*, I will tempt my husband into buying us a new pair of rings by showing him tempting men's wedding bands, I'm a genius aren't I? And so I begin my search, I found a site that offers titanium and tungsten-made rings, it sort of works like a platinum substitute, 'coz as you know the price of platinum is not for regular people like us. What's good about tungsten and titanium jewelries are that they are hypoallergenic, or at least the ones manufactured by the site that I visited, it is strong and durable and has that polished appearance which is promised to stay permanently, but most importantly, it is affordable and easy on the budget. They will even send you a free sizing set everytime you order to ensure that perfect fit, they have a 14-day money back guarantee in case you're not satisfied with your purchases, a tungsten rings warranty which is a lifetime repair and replacement guarantee and a lifetime refinishing policy for the titanium rings, isn't that wonderful? I couldn't think of anything more to ask as it seems like they have thought and given it all.

Gawd, when I got home yesterday from a day of shopping...err, walking at the mall, I was gravely shocked to found out the featured news on Yahoo, Brittany Murphy died at 32. As in oh my God to the nth power, how can she die? And of natural causes? I am 32, I am not as lean and sexy as she is thus, I can safely say, that she's in better form than me, I don't do good to my body, I fed and I starved myself to death whenever I want to, I don't exercise, I don't drink vitamins or any nutritional supplements, as in I am at my worse at the moment and I am kinda scared, if Brittany Murphy died of natural causes and it looks like she's taking care of herself then I could succumb to the same fate as easily or more as I don't take care of myself. Gawd, it's not a good thought, believe me!
I had a plan for 2010 - I would really love to go on a diet to loose some weight, for personal aesthetic reasons, but I don't really have a specific plan yet, I was actually thinking of self-starvation and deprivation to the point of extinction *lol*. But then Brittany happened, now I am having 2nd thoughts, not about the diet but about the strategy that I am going to take to make it happen - I need to be fit this coming year, now not just for myself but also for my family, I don't wanna go and die on them, seriously!
What happened to her is a wake up call to me, but hey, when God needs an angel who are we to stay away. My condolences to Brittany Murphy's family, we're not close or anything but I'll always remember her as Tai, the weird and fashion-challenged school transferee in Cher's (Alicia Silverstone) school. I even have a VHS tape to prove my allegiance to Clueless *grins*.

A friend from the Land of Nod, where you have the chance to see Princes William and Harry, was raving about a site where you can find simply everything one needs. I did a little research to see where she's coming from and I found out that AnswerGator is an article directory and a 'what is' guide, you simply punch in the keywords and hit search and if they have it in their listing, you'll find it in an instant, easy peasy! It works like a search engine, only better, as it is built to provide net users an easy access to all the important facts and info and to provide straight answers to everyday questions. Believe it or not, they even have a motto, in which they live by - Get Straight Facts.
I visited AnswerGator and I had seen that most of their articles focus on Insurance, Mortgage and Law, for stay-at-home moms like me, whose world revolve around children, husband and home, it is a big help in case we are in need of information on our house mortgage or pending insurance claims. And that's just might be the case with my friend, that's why she's all praise about the said article directory.
Don't you just love the idea that everyone in the world who has an access to a computer and internet has all the knowledge he/she wants at their fingertips, literally?
Hubby and I talked last night about the ever-fluctuating economy here in our country. Why the sudden chat? Oh well, I did ramble a bit and as hubby knows I won't stop until he takes my side, he decided to do it immediately *lol*.
Okay, I'll let you in a little... Christmas break officially started as the kids in different school all over the Philippines had party and exchanged gifts last Friday, maybe not everyone though coz my son had his a day before. So, anyway, I was expecting a boom in business last Friday but unfortunately nothing boom-bastic (pun intended) happened, I was complaining to hubby by then as I think every year we (Filipinos) suffered a bit more, parang it's a chain of endless poverty, parang nasa quick sand ang mga Pinoy na every year mas lumulubog, as in kung mahirap tayo last year parang mas mahirap pa this year and every time malapit na mag-end ang year ganun ang napapansin ko, we're always a notch poorer and miserable than the previous year and it's a cycle, it never ends or fail or falters, it is continuous, isn't it sad? Hahaha, I told you I am a rambler.
Hubby told me that we should look for a pre-need plan and mull it over, just to be prepared. We haven't really discussed it yet, maybe when the Holidays and merry-making ends, serious mode on on January. But, as I am me, I started to look at the net for a good insurance company and I found out that one can compare term life insurance quote of different companies to give us clients better offers and choices. I'm not that knowledgeable in this kind of stuff, so finding a site to help me out is really a blessing.
I know that you've heard and read about this Facebook application so many times already, well, just add this post to the list *grins*. Photo above is my Paypal Wishlist, as you can see, it kinda said that I already earned $15 but as it is not audited yet, I don't think that amount will reach my hand, let's just say that at least a quarter would, it's still easy money.
I used to have a Macbook on my list but as I recently purchased an Acer netbook, I decided to sub it with a Lenovo desktop, instead, I heart it!. Anyway, in case you haven't heard of this and you're somewhat interested, just log in to your FB account and search for Paypal Wishlist on the list of applications or you can click this, and you might just be able to help me have my wish *grins*.

My son's eye problem has never been a secret, he suffers from astigmatism, it is an optical defect that causes blurred vision. At the moment, he is wearing a pair of corrective eyeglasses with 300-300 lenses, we were supposed to bring him back last month for his check-up, to see if his condition worsen or the corrective glasses did the trick, but as the doctor's schedule is conflicting with his school schedule, we decided to do it this Christmas break. My son is just five, that's why the ophthalmologist decided on trying corrective eyeglasses first but there is another option, it involves surgery but it promises a faster and easier way to clear vision (our doctor's word), I'm talking about Lasik.
I am a Google mom, I tend to research every little thing in the net and so I did with Lasik, I found out that it is the most performed surgery in the US and that vision recovery could take as little as a few hours (that's fast). After Lasik, the need to wear eyeglasses or contact lenses is no more. Upon further research, I discover Stahl Eye Center, it is USAEyes-certified center, it has been in business for 35 years and it's work exceeded the national norms for Lasik results. For a mom like me, who's looking for ways to lighten the eye condition of their loved ones, this is one great news.
Now, all I have to do is work a little harder to save some money for the Lasik surgery.
I don't really like joining promos and contests, online or not, I don't think I was born lucky, I never really had any luck with any contests or raffles, even when I was pregnant with my son, and they said pregnant women are supposed to be lucky and lucky charms to their family and friends. Oh wait, I won one time in a round of tong-its with my cousins when I was pregnant, I never got the chance to repeat it as I don't really had a mind for that card game, does that count as luck? The whole time I was into blogging, I only joined two contests, both were very recent, and, I guess, you can count this one as the third, they said third is a charm... we'll see...
Vera of Where The Moon Shines is having her very first contest, it started last December 6 and it will run up until December 26, we still have plenty of time to rack in points (there, I said we *grins*). The winner will be drawn through an electric or old-school raffle, so the more points one has the better chances they get. The winner will receive (deliver to their doorstep) a 2010 Got Heart planner, that's why I so love to win, I love the smell of new planners, it seems like I can start anew and the troubles, mistakes and heartaches of the past year will fade away just like that *grins*.
If you want one (for free), you can try your luck, too, visit Verabear's blog for more details.

Remember this blog's emergency maintenance last Thursday (Dec.10), well, I had a hint then who the culprit is but I didn't say anything as I don't wanna taint its already tainted reputation but now that I have read a dozen and more blog posts blaming them, I guess, silence is unnecessary.
I am talking about Blog Advertising Store, a paid blogging agent whose past name was Paying Post. I did join their rooster of bloggers a few months ago, I was actually happy at first as they offer me a lot of writing freedom with a high price tag to go along with every project, the cheapest offer I got was $7 and the rest were as high as $25, it was my first attempt in paid blogging and I was blinded by their offerings and incentives. But as I go along, I read a lot of bad comments and blog posts about them, on how they don't pay on time or not pay at all and on how bad their customer support is, so, I decided on letting them go, not absolutely as I kept their code and the posts that I had written for them as I am silently wishing that everything I read and heard are just bad publicity but though I continue to visit their site to look at the payment tab (when will the next payment be) I didn't see any changes, as if, they just left the site as is. I haven't earned a lot from them, not enough to reach the cashout but I did work and spend time and effort so I am still hoping to get what is duly mine but then it struck. The malware and loading problem, as I discover a week ago, was from their code - I changed my theme and all but everytime I put back their code, the problem seems to revert back, so I decided to let Blog Advertising Store go completely, with that, I decided to delete some posts that I did for them, only those that I don't like though *grins*.
I just hope that everyone (affected) did figure it out and are okay by now.

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Ramblers Way. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you had talked to me a few days ago and told me that you can use wool as an everyday wear, I would surely reply with a mocking smile, as I would surely think that you are pulling my leg. The wool I used to know are those thick, fuzzy sweaters and bonnets that my grandmother sent us for Christmas. It's actually nice to wear them during those chilly night stroll but when the season is over, all we can do is tuck it nice and neat in the closet, so I really didn't get to like wool clothing that much. When I had my son, I can't help but give wool another try, as most cute bonnets that we saw at that time were made of wool and my son's obsession with winter clothes did add up to my choice. But the problem was, the bonnets and sweaters that we bought for a not-so-cheap-a-price shrunk the minute it was washed, it was such a waste of money. After that, I stirred clear of wool materials and promised never to come back, but just recently I heard of Ramblers Way, one look at their site and their product line and I'm a convert.
They have short and long-sleeve tops with scoop and cross necks, camisoles, long Janes and bikini briefs (imagine that) fit for the modern American women while they have short and long-sleeve shirts, half John and long Johns, and boxer briefs for men. All of which are made from superfine American Rambouillet 18.5 micron wool for that superior next-to-skin softness and comfort. Versatility will never be a question, as one can use those wool garments inside or outside or on any events and activities the whole year round, as all are breathable fabric it can warm and cools effectively and it repels odors and moisture. More than that, Ramblers Way's garment-line are machine washable and dryable, as they contain a natural enzyme that resist shrinkage and shifts in shape. And for me, that would make it a good value for my money.
If you're like me whose experience with wool and its by-products weren't good and almost gave up on using it entirely, I suggest you give Ramblers Way a look, I was surprised with a whole new level of wool products, so who knows, you may find something to add on that wish list or gift list for the coming Holidays.

Gifts for my son, checked. Gift for hubby, checked. Gift for bro, checked. Gift for pops, checked. Gift for mom, unchecked. I have been doing some shopping, a little at a time, aside from financial restraints, I also have a business to attend to and it's not even Christmas vacation yet, so I have to be a super mommy to a preschooler, too. I purchased some beauty stuff online for my aunts, sisters-in-law, cousins and a few friends, I braved Divisoria to buy some toys and candies for the lootbags that we're gonna hand down on kids come Christmas, I purchased gifts for some of our godchildren but I'm not done yet, I hope to do it on the weekends. All that but none for my mother as I'm finding it hard to choose one gift, my mom is a simple person, as in the simplest one can ever be, so finding a gift that she will like and appreciate is kinda hard. But, after weeks of searching and self-deliberation, I think I found the perfect gift, a pair of pearl earrings.
I found it at the Oriental Pearls website and because of the coming Holidays, they slashed a big chunk on their regular prices. The earrings used to cost $150, now I can have it for just $75, just right in my budget, woohoo! Aside from their marked down prices, the gamut of pearl jewelries you can find in their site is outstanding, as in you can have the cheapest price along with the widest array of pearls in the market, if that's not something, I don't know what is. They also offer different packaging for security and other (surprise gift) purposes, and thankfully, they accept Paypal along with other modes of payments so I can order now and be assured of a timely delivery.
Itching to know what my nanay will receive this Christmas, here take a peek -
Ain't it pretty?

Gosh, finally, after a day of hardwork and ,mastered patience, I am done! My blog had to undergo an emergency maintenance, don't ask me why as I don't know either. But I can tell you the story...
I woke up this morning feeling drowsy, as I usually do, I took care of my son, send him off to school and then opened the computer shop. I did my daily routine of checking my e-mails and visiting FB, butIi got the shock of my life (actually of my day *grins*) when I read an e-mail from one of the advertising companies I have for my blog that my registered site is not fully loading, so, I checked and found out to my dismay that it is true. I asked people I know to visit my blog just so I'll know if it's a general mishap, and unfortunately, it was. I logged in to blogger, just to find out that I can't even see my layout page as it won't fully load either, what a bugger. I run to a techie friend, so he can rescue me, but as my luck had it, he's out doing some errands, by that time I was forced to wonder if my day can get any worse. I tried opening my blog in different browsers, it won't fully load in Firefox, it won't load at all in Internet Explorer and worst, Google Chrome dubbed my site malicious as it is infected by malware virus from imagehack (I don't know anything about these two either so don't waste your time asking me). As I am not in the know how, I decided to just delete the whole HTML and began anew, hoping against hope that all my posts will be there when I get back, so I did what I had to do and then went on picking a random template, which is what you're seeing at the moment and I like it. God must have mercy on me as everything went back to normal after that, now, the problem was, I lost all my widgets and advertisements as I wasn't able to copy-paste the codes before I changed the template, so I had to install everything all over again, and it took me hours to finished and I was forced to deny myself some Facebook time just so I can finish and end my catastrophe today. By the way, my eyes are watery and red but I love the outcome of my hardwork, it may not look as nice as I want it to be but it is okay.
I solved my own problems, I think I am improving *grins*.

Last night my husband and son went to a debutante's ball without me as we can't find anyone who can man the computer shop while we enjoy ourselves in the party *grins*. I was fine before they went away, it is a formal affair and I'm not a fan of dresses and formal attires, but when they left, I felt forsaken, and all I can do is imagine the ruckus that my son will make or how the other visitors will dote on him, he was so handsome and super cute in his yellow long-sleeves, black tie and black slacks. I did asked the husband to bring the camera and take pictures but as all men are, he didn't care that much to took some *sigh*.
Technically, I wasn't all alone because the computer shop was full up to ten in the evening but after that, I only had four more clients that came in at 20-30 minutes interval, one after the other, so it was really boring. And to while away time, as I lose interest in playing my games in Facebook, I decided to download software. I've been busy watching movie downloads for the past weeks, I had my dose of Twilight, The Proposal, 2012, among others, and I owe it all to torrent and sharing sites.
Anyway, at around 12 midnight, I heard hubby parked the car so I rushed out and met them, my son brought home a box of heart-shaped chocolates and brownies, it was given to him by the sister of the debutante because she find my son too cute, she wasn't able to resist his charm *lol*. I was told that he was the center of attention and everybody's hugging and kissing him, hubby even said that he was so proud to be a father. Aww, I should have been there, I would have huff and puff like a proud mama bear.
Downside of the story, while hubby and I were talking about the party, our remaining client told us that he lost his internet connection, I hastily checked and found out that we're having dsl problems once again, so I ended up closing the shop and loosing my download.

I recently acquired a new book - The Tales of Beedle the Bard by J. K. Rowling, to those who had read and followed the Harry Potter series, I don't think an explanation is necessary but to those who are uninitiated, I guess you should try to google or wiki the said title, just to give you an idea (I'm not really in the mood to explain and all).
I bought it at an Scholastica book fair with a whooping 575php price tag, I expected more for that amount but I'm not saying I regret buying it, I would never regret buying a book, it's just that... I have high expectations... oh well...
I read it in two hours while my boy was in school and while the gamers here in the computer shop were still in sleeping ecstasy, a little quiet time with a book in tow, it was priceless (I could have picked a better book *sigh*).
A book in one hand and a glass of ice cold Coke in the other, lounging lazily in a swivel chair, leaning backwards as far as the chair would permit... a laptop on the desk but no fingers on the keyboard... *sigh* I miss my old life...
I think, it's gonna be a very lazy week (as far as I am concern)...
I'm so glad I had taken a pic of my favorite glass because my son decided (though accidentally) to break it to pieces just a few minutes ago. It has a twin though, it's in the care of our dear Anya (s'ya na lang meron ngayon, waaaa).

I was doing my usual blog hopping when I noticed a contest in Living Life to the Fullest, well, I'm not one of those people who live to join online promos and contests but from time to time I see something that caught my fancy. The first time I joined a contest it was because of a pink-stoned ring, now I am joining because I so wanted a GC, I'm still undecided what GC I'll take or ask for but I'm sure it would be for my son - a toy, a book, a piece of clothing, we'll see. And I'm acting up, as if I'm gonna win *lol*, well, I hope I would.
Levy, the woman behind the above mentioned blog, together with her husband will celebrate their 5th wedding anniversary and to include as all folks in the celebration, they decided to throw in a contest (12 days in duration), it started last December 3 and will end up on the 15th.
It's kinda easy to join, all you have to do is:
- Guess what is their theme song?
- Follow her blog through Google connect or RSS reader
- Blog about the contest (which is what I'm doing *grins*)
- Share it with friends (via any social network)

Yes, the title kinda speaks about my topic but no I haven't shopped on a warehouse just yet *grins*. I found another means to spend our hard-earned money, and you can spend yours too *chuckles* -
Sad to say, the sale had started last December 16, so the better of the stocks might be gone by now but I heard that they have lots of stocks on sale this year and there are those which you can pick for less than a hundred, pretty nifty eh? But as it is a warehouse sale, you should be picky and wary of stains, loose buttons and broken zips and the likes, keep your eyes open and be ready to dig deep into that mountain-pile of clothes and accessories. If you're a bargain hunter then this is the place to go.
One personal dilemma though, I'm not good in directions and I'm not familiar with the city of Pasig, can anyone come with me?

Before I sit here in front of my laptop, I had fed my son, cleaned him up and forced him to take an afternoon nap, just to make sure that I have ample time to finish what I intend to write this time *grins*. So, shall we continue?
And because I'm using the built-in number thingy, we'll start with the number 1, let's just pretend that it's number 11, okay?
- a mobile phone (anything will do at the moment, but if you really want to give me exactly what I want, any of the Nokia E-communicator series will do *grins*)
- a big, hang-in-the-wall flat screen TV (just so my son will stop bugging me to buy it, hehe)
- a DVD player and a set of kid-friendly DVDs (for my little one's room)
- a one-week vacation near the beach or in the highlands (Batangas, Tagaytay, Baguio, Mindoro, Palawan, Pangasinan, Boracay, Ilocos, Bohol, Cebu, Davao, pick one and I'll be happy to oblige)
- one whole day of spa, massage and all those pampering
- one picnic day out of town together with my family (I miss hanging out and laughing with my nanay and tatay, we're all so busy, we only see each other at night when we're about to sleep)
- the chance to have our house repainted and refurnished (that would be like, totally awesome!)
- a brand new car or van (need I say more?)
- one day shopping spree with no limit to what I can spend, better yet, shop-all-I-can for free, weeee!!! (sponsors anyone?)
- a condo unit by the mall (a studio unit would be fine *grins*)
