Plan Ahead

Sis-in-law and I were talking yesterday afternoon about our summer agenda, yes, call us crazy, but we are already planning our summer vacation *grins*, well, it doesn't hurt to be early. She's going to go in a seminar on Baguio by the end of the month and I already ask her to do some base research and canvassing, if the price is right and if it'll fit our budget, it is Baguio for the lot of us. And because I am itching to travel, I also did my share in research but because I am stuck at the four or so corners of the computer shop, I can only do it online, anyway, almost everything's a click away these days. I came by a site that gives tips and tricks in going to a vacation, before you reach the destination, when you are in your vacation destination and after you left, and I admit, some of those listed in the site never even cross my mind *grins*.

One of the things that I had learned was you can get a special permit if you're gonna travel using your private vehicle, here in the Philippines, we have number coding wherein only cars with plate numbers that end in a specified number can drive in a specific day (I hope I explain it well *chuckles*), so the special permit will let you travel continuously in case you're in a roadtrip or going in a different province or city without any trouble from police officers and other law and traffic enforcers. If you care not with the hassle of acquiring a permit, you can opt to rent a car, if you'll gonna ask me, renting a vehicle directly from where you're having your vacation is a smarter move as you can just get it in the morning as you leave and surrender it at night when you're done, no worries. And if you're gonna explore for a few days, you can just state your wish and they can prepare the car everyday specifically as you need it, if you're unfamiliar with the place, a service of a driver con tour guide and companion can also be arrange, but don't plunge in just yet, if you're going to a tourist spot, chances are, there are lots of car rental business in the area to choose from so the key is to always compare car rental prices and their additional services, you don't want to spend all your pocket money on just the car, right?

So, I was thinking, we might just have to take a public transport going to Baguio and then rent a family car there, if the hostel have a vehicle that we can borrow or rent, that will even be better. And then a kid shout, "Time na ba ko? (Is my time up?)"... gawd, I'm day dreaming again *sigh*.
