What's Next?

I can't help but wonder what's next, what else does Mother Nature has in store for us *sigh*?

For almost two weeks now, the news, be it in television, radio, newspaper or, even, in the internet, is about disasters, it has been a series of calamities, coming in one after the other. First, it was Bagyong Ondoy (Tropical Storm Ketsana), it landed and destroyed Metro Manila and its neighboring provinces, killing almost three hundred in its wake and destroying trillions-worth of properties. A few days after that, the news of the tsunami that had happened in Pacific Island and American Samoa were plastered on every televesion channels, as well as, in the internet, which killed more than a hundred and left thousands of people homeless and injured. At that same day, a high-intensity earthquake surprised Indonesia, killing more more than a thousand and leaving hundreds more injured and trapped in the rumbles. A day after that, another tsunami and another earthquake hit both Samoa and Indonesia, respectively, dealing more damage and incurring more losses. Four days ago, another typhoon (Parma) hit my homeland, this time it landed on the northern part of the Philippines, destroying crops, homes and other properties, as well as, killing a number of people. And then yesterday, I heard the news that more than 200 people were killed in India due to the five-day non-stop rain, causing flood and landslide in the country.

I fear that it's not yet finish, I fear that Mother Nature has finally had enough and it's taking its wrath against us. I fear for what's coming...

But I pray and I believe that God will always be with us.
