In case you're still not in the know, there will be two long weekends this coming November, the first one will be on Nov. 1 and 2 for the celebration of All Saint's and All Soul's Day, consecutively; while the second one will happen on the last weekend of the month - Nov. 27 and 28 for the observance of Eid'l Adha and on the 30th for the celebration of Bonifacio Day.
MANILA, Philippines—There will be two long weekends next month.
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has declared Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 special non-working holidays in observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, respectively. Nov. 1 falls on a Sunday and Nov. 2 on a Monday.
The last weekend of the month will be longer.
In Proclamation No. 1808 issued in April, Ms Arroyo declared Nov. 27 and 28, which fall on a Friday and a Saturday, special non-working holidays in observance of Eid’l Adha.
Eid’l Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is observed after the hajj, the annual pilgrimage by Muslims to Mecca.
The following Monday, Nov. 30, is Bonifacio Day, a regular non-working holiday.
