We (yes, I think the whole Philippines suffered) had a major breakdown in internet connection two days in a row, that's why I wasn't able to post anything new on this blog. It's 5:30am here at the moment and the connection is doing good, I'm not really sure if the problem is already fix, but there is a definite improvement in service.
Hubby tried to call the customer service of PLDT but he decided not to bother when he heard the recorded message about a server problem and their attempt to get it running asap. A friend who has an internet shop told me that the internet connection was erratic and super slow because myDSL was running on backup for the entire two days until the server is up and functioning well again.
A former PLDT employee and an acquaintance told us that the problem lies underwater and it might take a long while before the connection speed returns to normal, so, a little patience or a lot of it is quite necessary.A cut in the Asia-Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea submarine cable crippled connection speeds for users in the Asia-Pacific region on Wednesday, particularly in Singapore and the Philippines.
Cable & Wireless sent ZDNet Asia a status update at 6pm, Singapore time, noting multiple cable breaks have been also detected along the EAC (East Asia Crossing) and SMW 3 (South-East-Asia, Middle-East, Western-Europe) subsea cable networks, in addition to the APCN2.
So, I would like to take this opportunity to tell everyone that I may not be able to update my blogs for an unknown period of time but I'll try my best to at least pop in when the connection permits. I would like to say thank you to all my Entrecard droppers for continuously visiting my blogs even though I am unable to return the favor, I promise to visit you all back as soon as I can or as soon as my internet connection can.
Have a great weekend!
